March 12 This is one of the Funniest Things I've Ever SeenWell, I'm getting ready to go under the knife for the 1st time in my life. Although it's a fairly simple outpatient procedure, it's still leaves me a bit on the tentative side. I know the Dr. has done it many times, so that is encouraging. The real pain will come during the healing process as it's an open wound that has to heal from the inside out (OUCH!!). So since I've gotta be in pain for the next week or 2 I thought maybe I'd put ya'll through a lil pain. By pain I mean your face might be sore after laughing so long and hard after watching this video. Anyhow, check out the video below, and I'll keep everyone posted. Best Video Movie Production EVER!!! January 10 Need more words!!Ok, so I haven't been writing much, what can I say?? My life although thoroughly enjoyable has been some what lacking in crazy excitement worthy of the presses. I wake up (next to the most beautiful woman in the world), go to work (which gets better everyday), do my after work commitments (always a good time), then go to bed (next to the most wonderful woman). That's been the last few months in a nutshell.
In other news, it was an unacceptable year in football all the way around. Bengals stunk up the joint most of the year, til that sweet 3 game winning streak when nothing mattered right there at the end. In fantasy I made the playoffs in both my leagues, and lost in the first round of both leagues. Maybe there will be some better luck come March Madness. Of course, WSU is now looking like a no shot candidate for the big show (although until they're outta the MVC tourney, there's always that chance).
My one ray of sunshine in the horrid world of sports is the Kansas University Jayhwks. Orange Dowl Champions with a 12-1 record in football and so far a perfect 15-0. GO KU!!
Well that's all for me now. I look forward to getting a few more thougths on screen in the future. Til then:
Keep on Keepin' on September 27 Videos from Moloka'i Hawai'i2 Short Videos from Moloka'i HI where Sarah and I went on honeymoon September 20 WVF was AWESOME this yearSo, it's been a few weeks, but things are very busy at this time of the year. Of course we all know that football started a couple of weeks ago, and my poor Bengals are 1-1, some expected that record, only for it to happen in reverse order (they beat the Ravens and lost to the Browns). Now, even though they took a thorough wuppin' from the Mistake by the Lake folks, I'm not ready to throw in the towel, we still have 14 weeks left and my boys can certainly win 9-10 of those games which will have them right in the playoffs, so keep hope alive!!
In other news, the Walnut Valley Festival was again stupendous! I got out there on Wednesday making it my longest stint at the festival, hopefully I can make it a whole week next year. If you want to check out a taste of the WVA check out www.frontporchradio.net not everything on there is from Winfield but a good chunk of it is. AAAAnnnnddd It's just fun to listen to some good bluegrass every once in awhile. A friend of mine once told me (and i pretty much agree) that bluegrass music is good for your soul! I would have to throw in some other types of music as well, but since I just got back from the Walnut Valley Festival, we'll just stick with bluegrass for now.
Speaking of Bluegrass music, I think I'm gonna start taking lessons here in the next week or two, for the mandolin, I'm kinda in a rut now and need to expand my horizons within the mando' world.
Hope everyone's having a great time, and I will holla' at ya'll lata'!
Til then GOOOOOOOOO Bengals!! Who Dey!!
and keep on keepin' on! August 15 Yet Another!Well, here it is less than 2 weeks later and I have more to say, who would have thought! So... Nothing major is going on just yet. Kinda in the waiting room for Football still, although I gotta admit the Bengals are looking pretty good in Training Camp this year. Hopefully they can stay (or get for some of them) healthy and carry their good attitude momentum throughout the season. My fantasy draft is coming up in a couple of weeks (championship!). Until then I'm just getting in some good R&R with Sarah. Speaking of which, she starts her 2nd year of grad school tomorrow, which means 2 things: 1 for the next 9 months I will be dealing with a very stressed out and tired wife, and 2 in that time she will essentially have her Master's, and then only 2 years left. What can I say...Better her than me. So things could get interesting as we move our marriage into the busy season, so far even though we've both been working, it's still kinda been like vacation time, since she hasn't been in school. Looks like I'll need to get that Xbox 360 to take up some time while she's studying, shucks! Currently I'm looking forward to a lot of upcoming events: 8/30 - Fantasy Football Draft 8/31 - 9/03 Hopefully one final camping trip (fingers crossed) 9/06 - Football season starts 9/10 - 1st MNF game featuring the Ravens (Boo!!!) Vs. Bengals (Who Dey!!!) 9/12 - 9/16 - Walnut Valley Music Fest in Winfield (OOOOOOO Yeah!) Later gators!
